On October 15th, United Zion Retirement Community announced their plans to build a new independent residential living apartment building on their campus. This new building will be located near their current main building along Furnace Hills Pike (Route 501). It is expected to have 47 new apartments as well as new common space for campus residents.

There is a growing demand in Lancaster County for senior living. Right now, United Zion has a waitlist of over two years for their current independent residential living residences. United Zion is focused on being a close-knit, reasonably priced continuing care retirement community. These new apartments will also be larger than the current apartments, ranging from 700 – 1,100 square feet. The new building will possess new common spaces, including a larger fitness center, fresh dining options, and additional gathering areas.

Final building design and layouts will be available this spring. Applications are currently being accepted for these new units and reservations will start spring of 2023.  United Zion is excited to open this building as part of its 120th anniversary celebration.
