On Monday, June 8th, 2026, we celebrated the grand reopening of our Woodshop!
The refreshed woodshop features a cleaner, more functional layout designed to enhance both safety and creativity. While several improvements have already been made, this reopening marks just the beginning of a new chapter for the space. Rather than simply completing a renovation, our goal is to create a workshop that continues to evolve alongside the interests and talents of the residents who use it.
As woodworking enthusiasts return to the shop and new residents discover the hobby, we’ll be listening closely to their ideas and feedback. Additional tools, equipment, and features will be added over time based on the needs and suggestions of the craftsmen and craftswomen who call this community home. This collaborative approach ensures that the woodshop remains a resident-driven space where creativity can thrive.
Woodworking offers more than just the opportunity to build something with your hands. It encourages lifelong learning, problem-solving, social connection, and a sense of accomplishment. Whether residents are crafting furniture, creating gifts for family members, tackling home projects, or simply enjoying the camaraderie of fellow hobbyists, the woodshop provides a place to pursue meaningful and rewarding activities.
We are grateful to everyone who helped make this reopening possible and look forward to seeing the projects, friendships, and memories that will be created here in the months and years ahead.
