Christian faith has always been at the heart of United Zion. Having a chapel to join together in faith, celebrate life and share God’s love is so important to our mission of serving seniors. However, we have been serving seniors for over 115 years. Times change. The community has grown. In 2020, we embarked on a two phase project to improve the spaces for the needs of today’s seniors that started with our dining spaces. We are now ready to start the second phase that includes our chapel and main entrance. We hope you will consider supporting this important project.
This project will bring the following improvements to the chapel:
- Seating for up to 125 in the chapel
- Larger platform at the front to lead chapel services or hold performances
- Fellowship area for receptions or overflow space
- Moves the chapel to the center of the community
- More flexible space that can be used as an auditorium for music and other events
Also, this project includes the following improves for visitors and residents
- Porte-cochere
- New bathrooms
- Updated lobby and reception area
- Enlarged vestibule area
