Be part of our annual Remembrance Christmas Tree Lighting event. For $25 purchase an ornament for the Remembrance Christmas Tree. These ornaments can be purchased in memory or in honor of a loved one. This year’s ornament is angel wings in a heart shape (photo available in the FAQs below). The middle will feature the honorees name or you can drop a photo off (photo must be 1 1/2 inches square or circle, name should be printed on back of photo). The Remembrance Tree will be displayed November 25th to January 6th in the new Heart of the Home Chapel.
On Wednesday December 7th at 6PM, we will hold an evening event to celebrate the remembrance of loved ones. This event will feature a short remembrance as well as an hour long musical performance by local musicians including residents and staff.
All funds raised go towards benevolence care at United Zion.
Ornaments will be available for pick up starting January 10th.

- What happens if it snows on December 7th?
If inclement weather, we will make the call by 12 Noon on December 6th and announce the adjustment in plans.
- Can I donate or purchase an ornament even if I do not plan on attending the event?
Yes, you can donate if you are not attending – either online or by mailing at check to United Zion Retirement Community Attn: Megan Weiss 722 Furnace Hills Pk Lititz PA 17543. You can purchase an ornament online or at United Zion’s Front Desk.
- Do I need to write the message on the ornament?
No, you can either provide the 1.5″ photo for us to insert or we will insert the name of the person being honored.
- Will I be able to keep my ornament?
Ornaments will be available for pick up starting January 10th from the front desk. All ornaments must be picked up by January 31st. Please email marketing@uzrc.org to make arrangements to pick up your ornament if this does not suit you.
- When is the 2022 Remembrance Lighting?
The 2022 Christmas Tree lighting will take place on Wednesday December 7th at 6PM.
- When is the last date to purchase an ornament?
Ornaments must purchased by December 5th to ensure being on the tree for the Remembrance event on December 7th. However, ornaments will be available to purchase until December 22nd or until all ornaments are sold. Ornaments will be available for purchase at the event on December 7th as well. Please note that we do have a limited number of ornaments so order quickly.
