United Zion Retirement Community is excited to announce Heather Brown as the new Director of Nursing of United Zion Retirement Community’s recently renovated Healthcare Center for long-term care and short-term rehabilitation. CEO Sue Verdegem states “Heather’s deep experience with residents in long-term care settings shows her commitment to the mission of caring for seniors. She places a special focus on rehabilitating residents to their highest possible function.”
Brown is a compassionate committed Registered Nurse with over 21 years of experience mainly in long-term care. Most recently she served at the RN Nurse Manager at Stoneridge Retirement Communities and the Director of Nursing at Ridgeview Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center. She received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Cedar Crest College. She states that “her goal is to make United Zion the place everyone wants to come live. To do this, I am focusing on quality of care and heightening resident satisfaction. We have an amazing, friendly, generous and supportive team, which is instrumental in achieving this goal. Hands can build a house, but only hearts make it home.”
