We are thrilled to share that United Zion Retirement Community has officially received Accelerated Care Plus (ACP) Certification for Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation—making us only the second senior living community in the nation to earn this distinction!

ACP’s Cardiopulmonary Program is a cutting-edge, evidence-based approach that supports individuals living with heart and lung conditions. This program combines innovative rehabilitation technologies with customized clinical protocols, advanced therapist training, and ongoing support from ACP’s licensed physical and occupational therapists.

The fully integrated and highly customizable care model includes therapeutic exercise to improve muscle strength and aerobic capacity. It also incorporates specialized rehab technologies—such as electrotherapy—to enhance circulation and neuromuscular function, ultimately leading to improved outcomes and quality of life.

Director of Nursing, Janet Henry-Isaac states: “It has been an exciting journey to achieve this recognition.  Our dedicated team of specially trained nurses and therapists embraced the training and knowledge and take great pride in implementing this care into the daily lives of our residents and rehabilitation patients.”

This certification highlights the work of our nursing team and reflects our ongoing commitment to provide a community where residents thrive by focusing on independence, dignity, and physical, emotional, and spiritual wellness.
